TERMS OF SERVICE
Membership
Membership costs £5 per month, billed monthly, with no minimum term. You may cancel at any time. Membership is open to those aged 18 and over.
What's included
One book selection a month, access to our private Facebook group, and a monthly video call.
Refunds
We do not offer refunds on membership payments. You can cancel at any time to stop future billing, but we're not able to refund for months already paid.
Scheduling
Our monthly video call takes place on the last Thursday of the month, 7-9pm UK time. It's your responsibility to check this suits your own timezone before joining, we're not able to offer refunds on the basis of timezone differences. If the host is unable to attend on the scheduled date, members will be notified via the Facebook group and the call will be rescheduled as soon as possible.
Payment disputes
If we receive a chargeback, dispute, or refund claim from your bank regarding a payment, we'll treat this as notice that you no longer wish to be a member, and will remove you from our membership channels within 30 working days, unless you've already left. If you'd like your data removed entirely, please contact us separately to request this.
Community conduct
This is meant to be a warm, safe space. We ask everyone to be kind and considerate to other members. Hate, bullying, harassment, or racism of any kind, whether in the Facebook group, on calls, or in messages to other members, will not be tolerated and will result in removal from the community.
No sales, MLM, or advertising
Our Facebook group is for book club chat and connection, not for sales, network marketing, recruitment, or promoting other groups, businesses, or events. If you'd like to discuss a partnership or collaboration, please get in touch by email.
Use of our name
The Lonely Ladies Book Club name may not be used for any group, event, or service outside of the community without our prior consent.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued membership after changes means you accept the updated terms.
